I am doing a sponsored 24 hour stay in a kennel to raise much needed funds for DDA Watch, New Hope Animal Rescue and the Deaf Dog Network. This event will take place 15th - 16th February 2014.

So a little bit of information about the organisations for whom these funds are being raised:

DDA Watch is a not-for-profit business, registration number 7393352, run entirely by volunteers, who monitor "dangerous dog" legislation and to educate and assist those affected by it, whilst they continue to campaign to change the legislation, which is tragically inadequate and in it's current state compromises the lives and welfare of countless dogs who have never even acted in a dangerous manner. DDA Watch also provide much needed assistance and support to owners going through the court process, offer rescue placements for dogs no longer able to stay with their owners, and afford legal representation to challenge decisions and help save more lives.
New Hope Animal Rescue is an independent non-destruct rescue, that helps death row animals from pounds, and vets, and those who have been injured including wildlife. New Hope helps animals in immediate danger to save them from death and then places them into other rescues once a space is available. Those animals that are considered not suitable to be rehomed, or animals that have been unable to find a home due to medical conditions or behavioural issues, remain permanently under the care of New Hope or are found sanctuary homes in other non-destruct organisations.
The Deaf Dog Network is a self-funded not-for-profit organisation that offer advice and support to those who own or work with deaf dogs, raises awareness to the general public that deaf dogs can and do lead very normal lives making great pets and sports dogs, and they also highlight and support deaf dogs waiting in rescue for a new home.

The funds raised by this fundraiser will be equally divided between for DDA Watch, New Hope Animal Rescue and the Deaf Dog Network.
